Combined Event to Feature Youth Official Appreciation, Special Awards, Annual Meeting and Elections3/11/2020 Update as of 3.17.20 - our Appreciation Event, Annual Meeting and Elections has been postponed. Centene Community Ice Center to Host MIHOA Season-Ending Function on April 26 All MIHOA officials, youth-aged members, parents, siblings and friends are invited to attend MIHOA's 2020 Appreciation Event, Annual Meeting and Elections at the Centene Community Ice Center, practice rink for the St. Louis Blues. This newly-combined event will include a fun pickup hockey game, refreshments & snacks, a special guest speaker, raffle for officiating gear/merchandise, and a presentation of certificates and awards for our young officials and other members. SCHEDULE – APRIL 26, 2020
2:00 PM – Elections & annual meeting 2:30 PM -- Arrivals & check-in for Appreciation Event 3:00 PM -- No-check pickup hockey game** 4:15 PM – Refreshments & snacks 4:45 PM – Special guest speaker, presentation of certificates & awards 5:30 PM - End **The following minimum equipment is required to skate during the pickup game: skates, shin guards, elbow pads, gloves, helmet with facemask. Full facemask required for all players under 18. Half-visor required for all other players. AWARDS All youth aged officials in attendance will be honored and recognized. And we will announce the Outstanding Young Official award winners, a special recognition for our young members who demonstrate commitment, positive character, work ethic and dedication. Additional MIHOA awards to be presented include the Making a Difference Mentor Award, Dedication Award and Achievement Award. RAFFLE All attendees of the Appreciation Event will be entered to win variety of merchandise, officiating gear and other prizes. HONORED GUEST SPEAKER To be determined. REGISTRATION There is no fee for MIHOA members who are under 18, but registration is required. Tickets for guests (parents, siblings, friends) and adult MIHOA members are $15 per person. The opening of registration is postponed. NOTE: members of MIHOA who only want to vote and/or attend the Annual Meeting are not required to purchase a ticket. ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTIONS MIHOA members will be able to cast their vote for elections and any association bylaws amendment proposals at 2:00 PM. MIHOA members who only want to vote and/or attend the Annual Meeting are not required to register.
