If you are interested in becoming an USA Hockey official and officiating games, the following is required:

  • Register with USA Hockey on the USA Hockey website 
  • Attend a seminar
  • Take the required online officiating modules
  • Pass an open book test
  • Pass a closed book test (Levels 2, 3, 4)
  • Pass a background screening (ages 18 & over)
  • Complete USA Hockey SafeSport training (ages 18 & over)
