Equipment Loan Program
Due to low inventory of equipment, uniform loan availability may be limited at the St. Peters September 23 seminar. It will be made available, but we may not be able to fit everyone. Please know that signing up in advance will not guarantee a set of equipment. Thank you for your understanding.
MIHOA offers an equipment loan program for first-year Level 1 officials, under 18 years old. The goal of the program is to reduce the initial expense of officiating ice hockey. In order to be eligible, you must be a first-year, USA Hockey Level 1 official who is registered to attend a MIHOA seminar and who is under 18 years old.
New level one ice hockey officials under 18 years of age are eligible for the MIHOA equipment loan program. The program includes a helmet with visor, a jersey, and a whistle. You will need to provide a $125 check written out to "MIHOA" post-dated May 1, 2024. If you choose to continue with officiating after the completion of the 2023-24 season, you keep the equipment, and we will cash the check. If you decide not to continue with officiating, we will collect the equipment in the spring of 2024, and your check will be returned to you. The equipment will be available to you on the day of your level one seminar. Please arrive 30 minutes early so that we can fit you with your referee equipment.
