Equipment Loan Program

MIHOA offers an equipment loan program for first-year Level 1 officials, under 18 years old.  The goal of the program is to reduce the initial expense of officiating ice hockey.  In order to be eligible, you must be a first-year, USA Hockey Level 1 official who is registered to attend a MIHOA seminar and who is under 18 years old.

Equipment available includes: officiating sweater (jersey), black helmet w/ half-shield and whistle.  Equipment will only be checked out in complete sets.  Officials are responsible for providing their own black pants, protective pads and accessories.**  NOTE: pants specifically designed for hockey officials can be expensive.  Black warm-up pants or inexpensive black dress slacks are acceptable for first-year officials.

2020-21 Equipment Loan Program
Equipment will be available for pickup during the off-ice clinic preceding the ice session for Level 1 officials. Dates/locations as follows:
  • Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 5-6 PM at Creve Coeur Ice Arena
  • Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Centene Community Ice Center
  • Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 12:45-1:45 PM at Centene Community Ice Center

Bring a deposit check for $100 payable to "MIHOA" and post-dated to May 1, 2021. Deposit check will be returned if equipment is returned. Deposit check will be cashed only if official keeps the equipment.
