NEW OFFICIALS AND RETURNING LEVEL 1 OFFICIALS
Level 1 applicants must attend a 2 day virtual seminar and an in-person rules and policy review and on-ice positioning instruction. (dates and times to be announed)
The Level 1 Officiating classroom seminar is hosted through Zoom Meetings, and will count towards 2024-25 Officiating membership. This classroom seminar is open to Level 1 USA Hockey officials from all states and districts. Please note, you must submit your membership application as an ice hockey official at USAHockey.com prior to attending the seminar (or your attendance credit will be deleted).
Participants registering for this seminar must attend both days of the seminar as listed to receive attendance credit with USA Hockey. Participants may not attend one day of one seminar and a second day in another seminar. Participants who do not adhere to this requirement will not be given seminar credit. Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in attendance credit not being granted at the discretion of the seminar staff. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the course instructor using the links in the seminar listing.
THE MEETING ACCESS LINK AND PASSWORD WILL BE SHARED WITH ALL PARTICIPANTS REGISTERED FOR THE SEMINAR ONE (1) HOUR BEFORE THE START OF THE SESSION.
If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, it can be accessed on your personal computer or tablet (we do not recommend mobile phones due to screen size). You must have your personal camera turned on during the entire session, or you will be removed from the course (with no warning). You can download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app at your device store for your tablet, and your computer will automatically download the PC or iOS meeting client when you click the meeting access link. For more information about accessing Zoom through your computer, look for the "Join a Zoom Meeting" video at the Officiating Classroom Seminars page at USAHockey.com.
Due to time involved with first-time launch of Zoom on computers, we recommend launching the Access Link no less than 10-minutes before your seminar is scheduled to begin. Make sure you accommodate for your personal time zone. We strongly recommend that you do not arrive late. Zoom access will be locked five minutes into the session.
